Four stars bring 'Country Gold' tour to Shipshewana

SHIPSHEWANA — The Country Gold Tour will stop in Shipshewana on May 16, featuring Leroy Van Dyke, Jimmy Fortune, Bobby Bare and T.G. Sheppard.

The four stars will perform at the Shipshewana Event Center at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $69, $49, $39 and $19 and dinner and theatre packages are $85, $65, $55 and $35 and are available at www.riegsecker.com.

Bobby Bare will perform music from his recent release of “The Moon Is Blue,” with some of his older favorite songs and some from the 1990s.

Jimmy Fortune sang and performed with the Statler Brothers for 21 years before going solo when they retired in 2002. He released his first solo CD “When One Door Closes,” in 2003 and has since released an album, a Christmas CD, a live concert DVD and a country CD.

Leroy Van Dyke of “Auctioneer,” “Walk On By” and “What Am I Bid” is known as an entertainer, recording artist, radio and television star, actor and auctioneer. He is the only country performer to open a show for Marilyn Monroe.

T.G. Sheppard’s signature songs include “Last Cheater’s Waltz,” “Only One You,” “Party Time,” “Do You Wanna Go To Heaven,” “Finally” and “I Loved ‘Em Every One.”
